Mente en línea

Mente en Línea is an initiative promoted by TEDIC since 2021, aimed at opening the conversation about the relationship between mental health and the digital world. The project brings together outreach, research, and awareness materials that explore how our connected lives influence our emotions, habits, and ways of care.

The project, hosted at www.mentenlinea.org, contains different resources. Among them, five fanzines that address various dimensions of this intersection:

The website also features three podcast episodes, five articles and white papers on topics such as cybersecurity and public health or persuasive technology, as well as seven videos produced with health professionals who share reflections and recommendations for inhabiting the Internet more consciously. Some of these contents emerged in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, a moment when intensive use of digital technologies highlighted the importance of the relationship between emotional well-being and digital environments.

During 2025, the project incorporated new materials and expanded its activities through workshops aimed at adult caregivers of children and health professionals, as well as a social media and public campaign designed to raise awareness among the population about the importance of caring for mental health in an increasingly digitalized world.

For TEDIC, Mente en Línea represents a space to think about mental health from a digital rights perspective. We understand that psychological well-being must also be protected in digital environments. Through this project, we seek to generate public conversation, produce accessible knowledge, and promote more conscious and collective care practices in our online lives.

Mente en Línea was part of the project on mental health and the Internet during COVID-19, an initiative made possible thanks to the support of the British Embassy in Asunción and the collaborative work with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare.

In 2025, the project was updated with the publication of new materials and the development of awareness and training activities, thanks to the support of APC (Association for Progressive Communications).
