This project aims to promote the protection of human rights and the quality of public debate by strengthening the right to information and combating disinformation and violence in the digital sphere

Disinformation

It is understood as false, inaccurate or misleading information disseminated intentionally to cause public harm or generate revenue. This approach recognises disinformation as a potentially harmful form of expression, but one that does not necessarily fall within the categories of illegal speech already defined, such as defamation, incitement to hatred or violence. Find out more about why we do not use ‘fake news’ or ‘information integrity’.

Cybersecurity, personal data and anti-surveillance

It is defined as a set of measures and practices designed to minimise risks related to digital security, emphasising the importance of protecting human rights. Find out more about why we prefer to talk about digital security.
